PETERS ROCK HAS NIL OR BACKGROUND LEVELS OF TOXINS
Cadmium is highly toxic and along with other toxins imported fertilizers are often polluting NZ as it washes in to the water system before grazing - in Ultra100 it is mostly below the level of detection , a measurement of parts per billion only has been found. This background level may be from fertilizer applications over 60 years ago. Contrast this with common fertilizers being applied today known to contain 350 parts per million. 100,s of 1000s of times higher !
Other known brands have Cadmium levels of 250-350 ppm which are extremely toxic until it is washed off the plants and into the soil to become supposedly unavailable to animals. These fertilizers are only approved for use due to their economic importance to NZ farms and gardens. Cheap for a reason but very potentially costly to health and the environment.
Only 1ppm is considered over the limit in some countries for presence in food.
Lead - Pb in Ultra100 may occur only to 5ppm but it is not advisable to supplement oneself directly especially for a long period .
Soils in the US are deemed toxic at 300-400ppm because of the risk of direct ingestion but there is still no known uptake in plants.
Soils naturally have a range up to 20ppm of Lead. In general, plants do not absorb or accumulate lead. It is considered safe to use garden produce grown in soils with total lead levels less than 300 ppm because direct soil or dust may be ingested at this level. Chickens can also be farmed on soils over 300ppm in the US. The main health problems associated with chronic high levels of lead in the blood are neurological impairment in children , including possible permanent damage if exposed to high levels at an early age , and hypertension in adults. 1ppm is considered over the limit in some countries for presence in food.
Mercury - in Ultra100 may occur at 0.03ppm which is a 100x lower than unhealthy levels.
0.25ppm is unhealthy and 1ppm is considered over the limit in some countries for presence in food.
Arsenic - in Ultra100 occurs up to 1.4ppm
In some countries like the US it is added to some commercial animal farms to promote growth and disease resistance however 1ppm is considered over the limit in some countries for presence in food. Ingesting Ultra100 would introduce insignificant toxicity and interestingly some studies suggest may at these levels be beneficial.
Aluminium - occurs in Ultra100 at normal New Zealand background soil levels
.
There is no With-Holding Period after applying or using Ultra100 which is also
not toxic or dangerous in any direct skin contact or direct contact to animals and plants. Simply wash in with water.
Where our Ultra100 is sourced contains either
undetectable or common background levels of toxic minerals normally found in New Zealand soils.
Some fertilizers have high levels of toxins 1000's of times higher than found on Petes Mountain.
Some common big brand fertilizers are classified toxic if they touch the skin or are ingested directly by animals and therefore they advise waiting for rain before grazing or planting seedlings.
Be aware withholding periods or planting distances means the fertilizer has dangerous levels of toxins or harmful chemicals.
Ultra100 is natural, organic and safe.
